Hello — I'm Roman

A decade of Laravel and PHP, from junior full-stack to tech lead — a short introduction to who I am and what I build.

I’m Roman Kozin — a backend and systems engineer based in Lviv, Ukraine. For about ten years I’ve been building web backends, mostly in PHP and Laravel, with detours through Python, Node and Vue whenever a problem asked for them.

My path ran from junior full-stack developer to team-lead and tech-lead roles: designing solutions, reviewing code, tuning performance, and helping the people around me do their best work. Along the way I shipped product features, kept systems healthy on call, and scaled the things that needed to grow.

Right now I’m a Senior Software Engineer at Flexmade × Intersport, building an order-management system from the ground up and leaning hard into AI-assisted development. This site is where I keep my projects, notes, and the occasional deeper dive.

If you’re building something interesting — or just want to talk shop about Laravel, systems, or sharp developer tooling — the contact form is open.
